Tohaa Gao-Rael (Spitfire), p1

Hi there!

At last, something I can show without much shame. All my previous attempts in painting Infinity minis were fairly passable, but thanks to them being cast in metal, cleaning the crap-job is not a big issue (compared to GW plastic stuff).

Painting GW miniatures is mostly easy -- there are lots of big flat surfaces, details are pretty big, and the cast itself is not that complicated. With Infinity it's a whole different story. The detail level is a lot higher and Tohaa models are usually wrapped in lots of tiny 1mm wide straps and trying to paint these is always a pain in the arse.

Valuable lessons were learned, though. I seem to have finally managed the shadows and highlights on the cape and hood but partly ruined that when I was doing the silvery lining. Next time, I hope, I will have something more to show off.
