T-34-85 1/100 scale, Flames of War

This is my first T-34-85, for Soviet Union 3rd Guards Tank Army.

Also it was my first atempt to paint 1/100 scale.

Next few weeks I will paint other tanks, and post them with mini tutorials about weathering, paint chiping and more.

  1. Looking good. 3A CTAJINHA! is kinda dull though.

  2. Looks cool. I think that itll bait me into flames of war too and out of this dreaded darkness of the empty wallet in the far future.

    1. It's actually not. You can literally buy an army for 50 bucks. :)

  4. Chipped paint doesn't look like one. It's more like the factory didn't have enough paint and the tank was painted with whatever paint had left. Places with chipped paint are usually covered with rust, take a look at the picture

Apart from that, this is a rather good start at 1/100. I just have one question -- how do you suppose your tank to receive orders without an antenna? :]

    1. N21, Never heard of flags?

Chipped efffect is rather good, you're used pencil dust, don't you? :) But area covered is kinda big, but I guess it's not easily achieveable with 1/100 scale.

    2. Not sure what did you mean by flags, but Blogger seems to misformatted the URL to picture I wanted to show. Here's a proper one.
